Chill Epoxy Chill Fix Kit
Introducing CHILL FIX™ – Quick-Set Clear Epoxy Resin, the ultimate solution for those looking for a fast-curing and highly durable epoxy resin. Whether you are looking to make small repairs, castings or fill cracks and voids in wooden substrates such as river tables and serving boards, this product is the perfect fit. With a pot life of only 13 minutes and a full cure time of just a few hours, you can complete your project in no time and have it ready to use.
Thanks to its low viscosity and high reactivity, CHILL FIX™ is easy to work with and allows for quick and easy filling of small repairs. Its high ultraviolet resistance also makes it an excellent choice for outdoor projects. Additionally, this epoxy resin can be pigmented with our CHILL DROPS™ opaque and transparent series, and is compatible with our metallic pigments.
The epoxy filler CHILL FIX™ is available in a 1.5L format, and larger formats are available upon request. It is also 100% solid, without VOC, and can fill small cracks, voids, knots, or small casting such as jewelry. With its high-gloss finish, heat and impact resistance, and extreme mechanical strength and stress resistance, CHILL FIX™ is the ultimate solution for all your small project needs.
To achieve the best results, make sure the wooden/epoxy section is free of any contaminant such as dirt, oil, and grease. Surface preparation is also key, and we recommend slightly roughing down the repair area to ensure optimal results. The ideal working temperature is 22C /72F, and the recommended thickness per layer is 1/16 -1/4 or small masses. Maximum thickness in a single pour should not exceed 1/4.

Any items under UPS's 165 cubic inches (generally less than a 6' x 2.5' slab) can be shipped UPS ground. The item will be wrapped in cardboard for shipment. Things over that number will be palletized for freight shipments. Lastly, for larger orders from regional customers, contact us to inquire about delivery on one of our trucks. Additional charges will apply.For shipments, the freight shipments and ground shipments are curbside delivery. You will need a way to receive the package once it is offloaded off the truck. There may be additional charges if the shipment goes to a residential address. These charges can be for appointment, liftgate, etc. All of these are on a case by case basis. Freight shipments will be delivered business days, Monday to Friday, during normal business hours. The slabs are sold as-is, and occasionally, things can change from when the slab leaves our mill to when it arrives at yours. If there is damage during shipping, please do not receive the package and take photos to send back to us. Any issues need to be reported within 24 hours of receiving the lumber.Once an order is placed and payment is made, typically orders are processed in 1-3 business days. This would depend on order size, material, time of year, and other variables. If additional processing is purchased, it may increase the lead time. Finishing Option
We can take any slab we have in our inventory and take it all the way through finishing. This includes:
- Bark removal
- Bowties
- Epoxy fills
- Finish sanding
- Routering legs & adding C-channel
- Etc.
Finish options include anything from a hand rubbed Rubio Monocoat all the way up to a multi-coat professionally sprayed conversion varnish. Please reach out to sales@alderferlumber.com with your slab number and what you would like done to the slab. Prices start at $250.
